*** Hawak Kamay is a catchy tune, an original composition by one of the participants called 'scholars' of the reality filipino tv show Pinoy Dream Academy. The song reached number one is various count downs in the country coz of it's nice tune and lyrics which are apt for whatever suits your fancy (?). It can be dedicated to a boyfriend/girlfriend, a friend, it can even be religious in a roundabout way. My daughter likes Yeng and this song is one of the first songs which caught her attention of all the PDA original songs and she memorized the song easily. Overall this song is top rated :)

**I have always been fond of this song, but today it felt specially poignant for me. Today my aunt celebrated her 60th birthday and my cousins had a surprise bday party for her. And part of their 'program' and thanksgiving for my aunt, they sung this song. And it became more meaningful for me since my mom just moved out of the country to stay with my sister in Canada for good that I became acutely aware of how much parents particularly mothers play an important role in the shaping of our lives.

** Mind you I am not a Paris fan. But I like this song and what it implies. It shows a real love that sees thru the exterior of a person and see one's beauty inside, that there's a hope that you will find that special person who will see you for who you really are and not what people think you are.

*** I like this song..I heard it initially at our computer shop while some of our players was listening to it on the pc i think via youtube. Then our son liked the song and we used it for his lullaby... when he hears this song although the beat is a bit fast, he liked the song and he will only sleep if that song is playing.. So it has become a habit for us that if we want him to sleep we will play narda and he knows he will be sleeping by this time... I like the beat.. but there is actually some sort of a story for this song from the composers/singers of the song.. they dedicated the song to Angel Locsin, a young actress who played the role of Darna (some sort of a Filipino version of Wonderwoman) they said that during a guesting, since they were fairly a new band and relatively unknown, when they were introduced to her, she sorta snubbed them and one of them has a crush on her, so they made a song dedicated to her.. with a sort of a twist at the refrain of the song... "sa likod ng mga tala, kahit sulyap lang darna" it seems that there is a naughty connotation to the song...literally translated the lyrics basically says, behind the stars, even just little peek, something to that effect. And when you look at the costume of Darna, the design for the bra are actually stars... so well, you draw your own conclusions.. :P
